Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct post-anesthesia nursing care to patients in the PACU / Recovery Room setting
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from surgical and procedural interventions, identifying and responding to changes in condition
- Administer medications, manage pain, and coordinate care with the surgical and anesthesia teams
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in accordance with facility protocols
- Prepare patients and families for discharge or transfer, providing education on post-procedure care
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of PACU / post-anesthesia care nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced recovery environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a PACU or surgical services setting
- Familiarity with neuroscience, cardiovascular, or stroke patient populations
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) documentation systems
