Sterile Processing Technician – Operating Room

Contract | 12 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Evening Shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment in support of operating room procedures
• Ensure all sterile processing activities comply with established infection control standards and facility protocols
• Inspect, assemble, and wrap instrument trays and sets in preparation for sterilization
• Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization processes and equipment logs
• Collaborate with OR and surgical teams to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments and supplies

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of sterile processing technician experience
• At least 1 prior travel contract experience required
• Active CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CBSPDT certification required
• Strong knowledge of sterile processing standards, decontamination procedures, and surgical instrument handling

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume or acute care hospital setting
• Familiarity with operating room workflows and surgical instrument sets
