Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to an elder population in a long-term care and skilled nursing setting, including residents with dementia and geriatric psychiatric diagnoses
- Manage overnight nursing duties independently from 10 PM to 6 AM, with med aide support from 6 PM to 10 PM
- Monitor and support residents enrolled in a behavioral health program, including those with diagnoses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and paranoia
- Utilize electronic medical records system (PCC) for documentation and charting
- Participate in location-specific orientation, including training, competency assessments, and 1–2 shadow shifts
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience working in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility (LTC/SNF) setting
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a block schedule
- Comfort working independently during overnight hours with a high-acuity elder population
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in geriatric psychiatric or behavioral health nursing within a long-term care environment
- Familiarity with PCC (PointClickCare) electronic medical records system
- Experience caring for residents with dementia, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or related diagnoses
