Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients including those with diagnoses such as Lymphoma, Leukemia, Hematology conditions, Gynecologic Oncology, and Radiation Oncology
• Administer IV chemotherapy and immunotherapy regimens, adhering to all handling precautions including appropriate PPE use
• Monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions related to chemotherapy and immunotherapy medications
• Manage set-rate drips including heparin and 24-hour chemotherapy infusions such as Methotrexate
• Participate in a float rotation to General Medicine level-of-care units as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Epic Beacon EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
• Hands-on experience administering IV chemotherapy and immunotherapy in an acute care setting
• Ability to work night shifts including every other weekend (Friday/Saturday) and every other holiday
• Must be able to pass a drug screen; position is located on a drug-free campus

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with Epic Beacon EMR for oncology documentation
• Experience working with Hematology and Radiation Oncology patient populations
• Comfort working in a self-scheduling environment within a 6-week scheduling framework
