Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days | Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled perioperative nursing care as part of a dedicated cardiovascular surgery / heart team in the operating room
- Assist with open-heart and cardiovascular surgical procedures, including scrubbing and circulating roles as required
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to ensure safe and efficient surgical workflow
- Monitor patient status throughout the perioperative process and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Texas or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 1 year of CVOR or cardiovascular surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to fulfill travel contract requirements for a 13-week assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in both scrub and circulator roles within a cardiovascular OR setting
- Familiarity with open-heart procedures, valve repairs/replacements, and bypass surgeries
- Prior travel nursing experience in a CVOR or surgical specialty
