Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to an elder population in a long-term care and skilled nursing setting, including patients with dementia and behavioral health diagnoses
• Oversee and coordinate care during overnight shifts, working alongside a medication aide from 6–10 PM before assuming sole nursing coverage from 10 PM–6 AM
• Monitor and manage patients enrolled in a behavioral health program, including those with diagnoses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and paranoia
• Complete skilled nursing documentation and charting using the facility's electronic medical records system (PCC)
• Participate in location-specific orientation, including training, competency verification, and shadowing shifts prior to independent assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in South Dakota
• Experience working in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility (LTC/SNF) setting
• Ability to work night shifts on a 12-hour block schedule
• Availability to work every other weekend and holidays that fall within the contracted block schedule

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a geriatric psychiatric or behavioral health setting within LTC
• Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) electronic medical records system
• Experience caring for patients with dementia, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or other behavioral health diagnoses
