Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 on behavioral holds
- Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient information throughout each visit
- Operate unit equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors in a fast-paced ED environment
- Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed to support departmental staffing needs
- Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior practices, and consistent patient communication
- Work every other weekend and maintain scheduling flexibility to meet departmental needs
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
- Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
- Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience within an HCA-affiliated facility
- Background working in a multicultural or diverse patient population environment
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
