Registered Nurse – Oncology Ambulatory Care

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8-Hour Shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an oncology ambulatory care setting, supporting patients with cancer diagnoses across a range of specialized service lines including psychosocial oncology, oncology rehabilitation, integrative oncology, survivorship care, fertility preservation, and adolescent and young adult services
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, patient health questionnaire and history, allergy review, and medication reconciliation
- Interpret laboratory results and conduct telephone triage; manage pharmacy calls and patient refill requests
- Collect specimens via venipuncture/phlebotomy, capillary draw, throat, and urine (UA/clean catch); ensure proper labeling of all specimens
- Set up and assist with procedures including dressing changes and aseptic/sterile procedure tray preparation
- Document all patient care activities accurately using EPIC electronic health records system
Required Qualifications
- Active, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license – compact or Ohio state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Experience in a family care clinic, internal medicine, or urgent care work setting required
- Proficiency with EPIC documentation system required
- Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an oncology or ambulatory care/outpatient clinic setting
- Familiarity with multidisciplinary support services including pharmacy, phlebotomy, social services, and interpretation services
