Travel RN – PCU Nurse Educator

Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 8-Week Assignment | Projected Start: 06/08/2026
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver assigned clinical education content to impacted staff, including core staff, travelers, contract labor, and interdisciplinary team members
- Conduct unit-based rounding, reinforcement, and just-in-time coaching across shifts including nights, weekends, and hard-to-reach colleagues
- Validate staff understanding and competency as required and document education completion accurately and in a timely manner
- Identify barriers to education completion and escalate concerns to Clinical Education leadership
- Assist with focused re-education when audit findings or practice observations indicate additional support is needed
- Partner with facility educators and unit leaders to support education plans and quality and safety initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in acute care, critical care, or a procedural setting
- PCU or step-down unit clinical background
- Strong communication, coaching, and teaching skills
- Ability to work independently while following established education plans and content
- Flexibility to support variable scheduling including days, nights, and weekends
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in nursing education, clinical teaching, competency validation, preceptor development, skills validation, or staff onboarding and orientation
- Experience with nurse residency or transition-to-practice programs
- Familiarity with high-risk education, regulatory readiness, or survey response work
- Comfort using education tracking tools, LMS platforms, dashboards, or competency checklists
