Contract | 13–16 Week Assignment | Onsite | Schedule options include four 10-hour days (6:45 AM–5:15 PM) or three 12-hour days (6:45 AM–7:15 PM) | Weekday call shifts (7:00 PM–7:15 AM) required one to two times per week | One full weekend of call every five weeks | Must be flexible to meet unit and patient care needs | Travelers required to work two of the following four holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Year's Day | Monday through Sunday availability required | No block scheduling

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care in a cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) setting, including open heart and cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Serve as a circulating RN during assigned cases, ensuring patient safety and adherence to surgical protocols
• Float to other OR suites (general, orthopedic, neuro, ENT, etc.) as needed in a circulating capacity
• Participate in on-call responsibilities on weekdays and rotating weekend call schedules
• Accurately document patient care activities and surgical information using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with the surgical team to support high-quality patient outcomes in a large academic medical environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of OR RN experience with recent, high-competency experience in cardiovascular and/or open heart surgery
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience in a large (500+ bed) academic or teaching hospital setting required
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required (non-negotiable)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CNOR certification preferred
• Experience floating across multiple OR specialty suites (general, orthopedic, neuro, ENT)
