Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine dental prophylaxis, including removal of hard and soft deposits and stains from teeth surfaces.
• Apply topical fluoride and take and develop radiographs.
• Provide oral hygiene education, counseling, and dietary guidance to patients.
• Review medical and dental health histories, review and chart dental disease, and record vital signs such as blood pressure.
• Utilize Epic Wisdom for charting and charge entry, assist in patient education, and train dental hygiene students with minimal supervision.
• Make and confirm appointments and assist with patient record maintenance.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene
• State licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in South Carolina
• No prior experience required; 1 year of experience preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a hospital-based dental clinic setting.
