Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Rotating Days and Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to cardiac changes
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Float to designated units as needed to support the same patient population
• Participate in holiday rotation, working at minimum every other holiday
• Complete required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate with an acceptable passing score

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – permanent Ohio license or Compact State license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 18 months of permanent RN experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry prior to any travel assignments
• Minimum of 18 months of recent Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience (travel experience accepted)
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active NIHSS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation in a high-acuity hospital environment
