Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (2:45 AM – 3:15 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery setting, including high-risk and vaginal deliveries, forceps/vacuum-assisted deliveries, and C-sections
• Perform and assist with sterile speculum exams, sterile vaginal exams, NST, OCT, and reflex checks
• Apply and interpret external fetal monitoring (EFM) and intermediate fetal monitoring techniques
• Administer IV therapy and medications in accordance with facility protocols
• Deliver postpartum care, neonatal and newborn care, and pain management
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active Kansas RN license or valid Compact license (no pending licensure accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery and postpartum care
• Previous travel nursing experience in Labor and Delivery required — no exceptions
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required
• Intermediate fetal monitoring competency required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech charting system
• Background in acute care hospital settings, including surgical and high-risk obstetric cases
