Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (2:45 AM – 3:15 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery setting, including high-risk and vaginal deliveries, forceps/vacuum-assisted deliveries, and C-sections
- Perform and assist with sterile speculum exams, sterile vaginal exams, NST, OCT, and reflex checks
- Apply and interpret external fetal monitoring (EFM) and intermediate fetal monitoring techniques
- Administer IV therapy and medications in accordance with facility protocols
- Deliver postpartum care, neonatal and newborn care, and pain management
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Active Kansas RN license or valid Compact license (no pending licensure accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery and postpartum care
- Previous travel nursing experience in Labor and Delivery required — no exceptions
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required
- Intermediate fetal monitoring competency required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech charting system
- Background in acute care hospital settings, including surgical and high-risk obstetric cases
