Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting within a community hospital environment
• Perform assessments, interventions, and documentation in accordance with facility protocols and nursing standards
• Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for all clinical charting and documentation
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Complete all required facility orientation modules within the designated timeframe during the orientation week

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia or a compact state – must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
• EPIC electronic health record charting experience required – no exceptions
• Must be available to submit to fingerprinting as required by the Code of Virginia; candidates may not begin assignment until results are received (average 15–20 business days)
• 2 professional references required at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Prior experience in a community hospital setting preferred
