Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a mixed CVICU setting serving both cardiac and neurological patient populations
• Utilize electronic health record system (Epic) for accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Float to sister facilities within the health system as needed to meet staffing demands
• Complete required pre-start and annual competency modules in a timely manner, prioritizing time-sensitive assignments upon confirmation
• Administer medications and monitor patients in accordance with ICU protocols and scope of practice

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 18 months of ICU experience required; 2 years preferred
• Experience with both cardiac and neurological ICU patient populations required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of submission
• NIHSS certification required prior to start date
• Proficient Epic experience at a self-assessed level of 3 or 4
• Must be nicotine-free; negative 10-panel plus nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of ICU experience with a mixed cardiac and neuro patient population
• Prior experience working in a teaching or acute care hospital environment
• Familiarity with EKG interpretation and pharmacology assessments
