Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | 36 guaranteed hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients within an acute inpatient psychiatric setting
• Manage both voluntary and involuntary admissions in accordance with facility protocols
• Collaborate with ancillary support staff, including CNAs and Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), to deliver safe, patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the HCS charting system
• Float between Adult and Geriatric psychiatric units as needed
• Participate in general and floor orientation prior to independent assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in North Carolina
• Minimum of 1 year of acute psychiatric nursing experience
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required
• Must currently reside in or be on active assignment in North Carolina (fingerprinting must be completed in-state prior to start)
• Ability to work every other weekend and maintain scheduling flexibility with limited RTO
• Willingness to float between Adult and Geriatric psychiatric units

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a dedicated inpatient psychiatric hospital environment
• Familiarity with HCS electronic charting system
• Experience working with both voluntary and involuntary psychiatric patient populations
