Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with RN scope of practice, considering patient culture, age, and developmental level.
• Develop individualized care plans, prioritize patient needs, and implement therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within established policies and professional guidelines.
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition to the interdisciplinary care team in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Provide patient and family-centered education, explaining procedures, treatments, and discharge instructions to promote understanding and compliance.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor accuracy and completeness of patient care activities performed by other team members.
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and documentation auditing.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care team members.
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous clinical nursing experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or EP setting.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
