Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in labor and delivery, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections
- Monitor and manage high-risk pregnancies and antepartum patients
- Perform fetal heart monitoring and interpret findings appropriately
- Provide triage assessment and care for obstetric patients
- Float to postpartum unit as needed to support couplet care (maternal and newborn)
- Participate in newborn care at delivery when applicable
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered California RN license (must be in hand prior to start)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification or NCC EFM certification required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required (AHA-issued for ACLS/BLS)
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required
- LA fire card obtained within the last 30 days required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with postpartum couplet care (maternal and newborn)
- Ability to perform newborn role at delivery
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
