Contract | Full-Time | Days | Onsite | 5 Days per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by a supervising Occupational Therapist
• Provide direct patient care to support the development, recovery, and improvement of daily living and work skills
• Document patient progress accurately and in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated and effective patient outcomes
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs

Required Qualifications

• Current COTA certification through NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)
• Active and valid state licensure or eligibility to practice as a COTA in Illinois
• Experience providing occupational therapy assistance in a rehabilitation or healthcare setting
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care rehabilitation environment
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
