Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Acute Leukemia & Hematology)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients primarily diagnosed with acute leukemia and hematological conditions
- Implement and maintain strict infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
- Perform telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias, utilizing Rapid Response Teams as needed
- Manage and care for central lines, PICC lines, peripheral lines, and feeding tubes; perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Maintain staffing ratios with a goal of 1:4, with potential for 1:5 based on unit needs
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Valid RN compact or state license in hand at time of submission
- Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proficiency in telemetry, MS/Tele, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Experience with EPIC computerized charting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ONS Chemotherapy Certification (not required)
- NIHSS certification
- Prior travel nursing experience
