Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
• Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation throughout each patient encounter
• Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors in accordance with unit protocols
• Maintain patient experience standards including AIDET communication, respectful behavior, and consistent board and patient updates throughout each visit
• Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed to meet departmental staffing requirements
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including techs, cardiac monitoring unit staff, triage personnel, and unit clerks

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center or comprehensive stroke center environment
• Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback; flexibility to work all areas of the ED

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume Emergency Department with more than 100,000 annual visits
• Previous experience within an HCA-affiliated facility
• Familiarity serving diverse, multicultural patient populations
