Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Neuroscience/High-Risk Respiratory)

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide intermediate-level nursing care to a diverse patient population including cerebrovascular accident (CVA), transient ischemic attack (TIA), seizures, and general neuroscience patients
• Deliver skilled care within a high-risk respiratory unit environment, including management of patients requiring heated high-flow oxygen and BiPAP
• Participate in team nursing or primary nursing models, partnering with LPNs and PCTs to divide workload and optimize patient care
• Monitor and respond to cardiac telemetry and EKG findings in accordance with unit protocols
• Float to specialty cluster units as assigned, providing medically appropriate care or supporting the nursing care team
• Maintain availability to work every other weekend and holiday as required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (any state accepted; compact license accepted; temporary license available upon offer)
• Documented Step-Down or PCU experience with 1:5 patient ratio experience reflected in work history (ICU experience does not substitute)
• Ventilator experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
• Must pass an online EKG/Dysrhythmia competency assessment prior to assignment start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• IV Start certification preferred
