Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a Cardiovascular Operating Room for cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeries.
• Assist with procedures such as CABG, valve repairs, TAVR, EVAR, TEVAR, carotid endarterectomy, fistula creation/interventions, VATS, thoracotomy, fem-pop bypass, angiograms with interventions, LVAD, RVAD, and ECMO.
• Support Level 2 trauma coverage for vascular and thoracic procedures.
• Collaborate with a team of surgical staff including scrub techs and anesthesia techs to ensure smooth operative flow.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including time-off requests and call scheduling, with approximately one weekend call per month and additional call 2-3 days weekly.
• Maintain proficiency with the Meditech EMR system.
• Demonstrate punctuality, flexibility, and a team-oriented attitude in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CVOR RN, with specific skills in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery.
• Proven experience with open heart, vascular, and thoracic procedures.
• Ability to scrub cardiovascular and vascular cases.
• Comfortable working with Meditech EMR.
• Punctual with a 30-minute call-back time and flexible scheduling.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience scrubbing cardiac and vascular surgeries.
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR system.
• Ability to work independently within a small, dedicated team.
