Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit, including patients with orthopedic and bariatric diagnoses
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer and manage medications using the Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Document all patient care accurately and thoroughly using EPIC EMR
• Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
• Complete required pre-assignment modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• First-time travelers are considered with a minimum of 3 years of experience within the Medical Surgical/Telemetry specialty
• Experience with orthopedic and bariatric patient populations
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication management systems
