Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Acute Leukemia & Hematology)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients primarily diagnosed with acute leukemia and hematologic conditions
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac dysrhythmias, escalating via Rapid Response Teams as appropriate
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral IV lines, and perform phlebotomy including central line blood draws
• Administer blood products and manage IV therapy in accordance with unit protocols
• Implement and maintain strict infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Valid RN license (compact or state license in hand at time of submission)
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and feeding tube care and management
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ONS Chemotherapy Certification (not required)
• NIHSS certification
• Prior experience in a hematology or oncology nursing setting
