Contract | Nights (18:45–07:15) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Holidays required on a rotating basis | 2–3 on-call shifts per month
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor, Delivery, and Recovery (LDR) setting during night shift hours
- Monitor and assess fetal status using intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring techniques
- Float to Medical-Surgical unit as needed to support overflow patient census
- Care for pediatric patients as required during float assignments
- Participate in on-call shifts and respond to callback assignments during regularly scheduled shifts as needed
- Attend virtual orientation and adhere to facility policies including a nicotine-free environment
Required Qualifications
- Active Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (candidates must be fully committed to obtaining PALS prior to start date if not already held)
- Completion of an intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring course within the past 24 months
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor, Delivery, and Recovery (LDR) experience
- Willingness and ability to float to Medical-Surgical and provide pediatric patient care
- New graduates will not be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 3 or more years of LDR experience in a rural hospital setting
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
