Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (11:00–23:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) procedures, including cardiac and vascular cases
• Provide surgical technologist support for other OR cases when no cardiac cases are scheduled
• Participate in cardiac call coverage as required, including weekday and weekend on-call shifts
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities as required
• Complete required pre-start and annual modules in a timely manner via designated learning platform
• Chart accurately using EPIC electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of surgical technologist experience required; 2 years preferred
• Strong CVOR and vascular experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Active, unrestricted surgical technologist credentials (no pending licenses accepted)
• Ability to participate in cardiac on-call rotation (approximately 6 call shifts per month minimum, with potential for more based on staffing needs)
• Must be nicotine-free; negative 10-panel drug screen including cotinine required within 12 months of start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• National certification through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred
• 3 or more years of surgical technologist experience, with a strong focus on CVOR and vascular cases
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system
