Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Telemetry (Med Surg/Tele)

Travel contract, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on medical surgical and telemetry units, including specialized units such as oncology, hematology, and urology
• Assess patient conditions, develop and implement individualized care plans, and monitor responses to treatments
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols and safety standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health records
• Ensure infection prevention protocols and patient safety measures are strictly followed

Required Qualifications

• Valid compact or state RN license in Ohio (or eligible for licensure in Ohio)
• Minimum of 2 years of high-acuity Med Surg Telemetry experience or higher
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Neurovascular assessment skills (NIHSS certification preferred)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology unit experience is preferred but not required
• Experience with specialized procedures and complex patient populations such as BMT, leukemia, and surgical oncology
• Ability to float across Med Surg and Progressive Care Units, including Oncology units
