Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric medical/surgical patients on a unit with a daily census of approximately 43
• Administer and monitor insulin and heparin drips, and manage wound vac dressing changes and high-flow oxygen therapy
• Utilize Epic for documentation and Pyxis for medication administration; communicate using SBAR methodology
• Float to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients as needed
• Participate in unit team meetings, including additional night-shift meetings scheduled on a recurring basis
• Serve as a member of the assigned Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team; may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in NC or a Compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of registered nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Demonstrated ability to manage insulin and heparin drips
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Must be available to work every other weekend and holidays as assigned

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience preferred, particularly for night shift travelers
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
• First-time travel nurses will be considered
