Registered Nurse – Critical Care Float Pool (ICU)

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | Weekend 3x12s | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (36 hours/week)
Key Responsibilities
- Float across a variety of critical care units based on staffing needs and patient acuity, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, MICU, and NCCU
- Deliver high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients across multiple ICU environments
- Manage patients requiring ventilator support, telemetry monitoring, and IV therapy
- Adapt quickly to varying unit cultures, workflows, and patient populations
- Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity in accordance with float pool policy
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Valid RN license – compact or state license must be in hand at time of submission
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system required
- Demonstrated competency in IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management
- Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
- Experience floating across multiple critical care specialties or high-acuity environments
