Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech therapy services to acute care patients across various medical and surgical diagnoses, including ICU, neurological, dysphagia, respiratory, and cognitive conditions
- Support patients based on physician orders, delivering comprehensive therapies to promote recovery and communication
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Document patient assessments, progress, and treatment outcomes accurately and timely
- Support a wide variety of medical cases, ensuring quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 15–18 months of recent experience in speech therapy within a specialized setting
- Current Georgia State License for Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- AHA BLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior acute care experience is highly desirable
- Proficiency in MBS/FEES, though not mandatory
- Experience supporting ICU, neurological, and dysphagia patients
