Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Weekend requirement: 4–5 weekend shifts per 4-week period with holiday rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct inpatient nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a General Neurology, Medical Stroke, and Epilepsy Monitoring unit
- Monitor and care for patients with neurological diagnoses including stroke, seizures, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and neuromuscular diseases
- Support continuous epilepsy monitoring for patients in designated hard-wired monitoring rooms
- Care for overflow neurosurgical and spine surgery patients as needed, floating within scope to meet facility needs
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 while delivering safe, high-quality care in a private-room inpatient setting
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (SC license must be active prior to start date)
- Minimum 1 year of registered nursing experience
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to float within scope to sister units to meet facility needs
- Awareness that during hurricane season (June–November), staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Experience in a neurology, stroke, or epilepsy monitoring clinical setting
