• Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Administer physician-prescribed respiratory treatments, including ventilator management and oxygen therapy.
• Perform pulmonary function testing and assist with airway management, intubations, and emergency respiratory care.
• Monitor patient responses, adjust therapies as needed, and document all procedures accurately.
• Support diagnostic procedures such as EKGs, stress testing, and blood gas analysis.
• Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment, ensuring infection control and safety standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and provide patient/family education on respiratory health and treatments.

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an AMA-approved program.
• Successful completion of a national Respiratory Therapy credentialing exam.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the state of New Mexico.
• Current BLS (CPR) certification; ACLS preferred.
• Proven ability to work independently and in high-pressure situations.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Two or more years of post-graduate respiratory therapy experience.
• Critical care, pediatric, or emergency room experience.
• Experience with patient transport and advanced airway management.
