Key Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patient conditions on a Geropsychiatric Unit
• Perform mental and physical assessments, administer medications, and carry out physician-ordered treatment interventions
• Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans upon admission and on an ongoing basis in collaboration with the multidisciplinary treatment team
• Manage therapeutic milieu activities including daily groups, patient education, and one-on-one patient interactions
• Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary team members, and outside health and social agencies to coordinate patient care
• Complete all required documentation in a timely manner, including admission paperwork, assessments, progress notes, and discharge paperwork

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree or diploma from a 3-year Nursing program required
• Valid State of New Hampshire RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency in medical terminology required
• Strong mathematical, analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of previous nursing experience preferred
• Experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing settings a plus
