Registered Nurse Operating Room

Job Title

• Travel Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR) – Overland Park, KS

• Overland Park, KS

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 13-week assignment, with call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Operating Room setting.
• Assist during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Follow unit-specific policies and documentation procedures using Meditech system.
• Maintain readiness to respond to emergencies, including trauma cases as part of the trauma center.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• At least 2 years of proven RN experience in an OR or surgical setting preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Surgical or procedural experience across a variety of specialties (e.g., abdominal, orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurosurgery, etc.).
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, trauma-enabled environment.
