Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Travel Contract

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Onsite | Rotating Weekends (approximately 4 weekend shifts per month) | No call required
Key Responsibilities
- Perform standard respiratory therapy procedures including nebulizer treatments, chest physiotherapy (CPT), and arterial blood gas collection
- Manage and monitor patients on mechanical ventilation, including transport within the hospital (e.g., to CT/MRI)
- Operate and manage equipment including GE ventilators, V60 BiPAPs, and Airvo high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) systems
- Assist with bronchoscopy and intubation procedures
- Administer inhaled nitric oxide therapy as indicated
- Collaborate effectively with RT department staff and interdisciplinary hospital teams across all shifts
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) also accepted
- Minimum 1 year of adult respiratory therapy experience in an acute care setting
- Proficiency with mechanical ventilation management
- Experience with EMR systems (facility uses Meditech)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Adult critical care experience in an ICU or Emergency Department setting
- Experience with inhaled nitric oxide therapy and bronchoscopy assistance
