Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days | 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients on a 34-bed unit with a day-shift ratio of 1:4–6
- Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, assess changes in patient acuity, and escalate appropriately to the Charge RN, Rapid Response, or Provider
- Perform and oversee unit procedures including IV fluids, IV antibiotics, tube feedings, and PEG feedings
- Attend shift huddles at the start of each shift and adhere to all unit scheduling and timekeeping policies
- Collaborate with CNAs, HUCs, and fellow RNs to support a team-oriented care environment
- Float to other medical-surgical units or the ED holding pod as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry or medical-surgical nursing experience
- Demonstrated telemetry rhythm interpretation capabilities
- Current BLS certification
- Strong critical thinking, time management, and communication skills
- Proficiency or ability to quickly adapt to Cerner EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Current ACLS certification
- Prior travel nursing experience in a trauma or telemetry setting
- Experience working in a high-acuity, fast-paced medical-surgical environment
