Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Charge Experience)

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | Weekends as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting at a Level IV Trauma Center
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities with minimal department orientation upon start
• Maintain patient-to-nurse ratios of 4:1
• Adhere to block scheduling requirements as established by the facility
• May be expected to float to sister facilities nearby the contracted location as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license – compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room RN experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications required
• Demonstrated charge nurse experience in an Emergency Room setting
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a short-term acute care facility
• Familiarity with trauma center protocols and workflows
