Contract | Travel | Days | Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM | 40 Hours Per Week Guaranteed | 8-Week Assignment | Projected Start: June 23, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative nursing care in a cardiovascular preop unit with a 1:1 patient ratio in a high-acuity setting
• Perform large-bore IV starts, chin-to-toe hair removal, skin assessment, and medication administration
• Assist with arterial line, central line, and epidural placement
• Transport patients to the OR and assist with induction/intubation, positioning, and skin prep
• Utilize GE Carescape monitoring systems and Fuji ultrasound equipment; document in Cerner
• Collaborate with interdepartmental team including CNCs, unit secretary, and management shared with CVOR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Critical care experience is required
• Proficiency with BCMA and electronic documentation (Cerner preferred)
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with interdepartmental teams

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior preoperative nursing experience is a plus
• Familiarity with cardiovascular surgical workflows and CVOR support
• Experience with arterial line, central line, and epidural assistance procedures
