Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient-focused nursing care to acutely ill or injured patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation with accurate corresponding documentation.
• Triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity level and available resources; monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver well-coordinated, holistic, and compassionate patient care addressing both clinical and emotional needs.
• Perform basic respiratory services including capnography, pulse oximetry, administration of supplemental oxygen, and nebulized aerosolized treatments.
• Adhere to established laboratory procedures, safety guidelines, and applicable regulatory standards governing freestanding emergency center nursing practice.
• Facilitate patient transfers and discharges while maintaining composure in high-stress or emergency situations.

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas, or a compact license with Texas reciprocity.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Department setting.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities effectively.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a freestanding emergency center environment.
• Familiarity with Texas Department of State Health Services regulations and Board of Nurse Examiners standards.
• Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision using critical thinking and decisive judgment.
