Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess postpartum patients, including vital signs, medication administration, and perineal care management
- Provide education to parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding techniques
- Deliver couplet care in a Mother/Baby unit setting, supporting both mother and newborn throughout the postpartum period
- Collaborate with charge nurses, CNAs, and interdisciplinary care team members to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately using EMR systems (Meditech / CPN)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Postpartum / Mother Baby experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of experience in a Mother/Baby unit
- Flexibility with scheduling and ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with strong communication skills across staff and providers
