Key Responsibilities

  • Provide postpartum and mother/baby care in a hospital setting.
  • Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage perineal care.
  • Educate new parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain documentation within the electronic medical record system (Meditech/CPN).
  • Adapt quickly to unit policies, new equipment, and workflow changes.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital experience in Postpartum/Mother/Baby units.
  • Valid BLS certification.
  • NRP certification.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience working in a Mother/Baby Unit.
  • Flexibility with scheduling and the ability to adapt to new environments.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate, team-oriented personality.
