Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients experiencing labor, preterm labor, and related OB-GYN conditions across labor rooms and triage rooms
- Perform and assist with circulating, scrubbing, pre-op, and post-op duties for OB-GYN surgical cases
- Attend all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries, and support couplet care and low-risk antepartum patients
- Administer blood and blood products, and manage specialized equipment including epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and wound vacs
- Administer high-alert medications including heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
- Float to post-partum and NICU units based on skill set as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; active compact license accepted
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
- Must not be a first-time traveler
- Two professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification preferred
- Experience with transition nursery and high-risk delivery settings
- Demonstrated ability to manage specialty equipment such as cooling/warming blankets and wound vac systems
