Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Rotating weekends and holiday rotation | Up to 4 on-call shifts per month
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist across a broad range of surgical specialties including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, ENT, Robotics, Transplant/Procurement, Trauma/Burns, and GU/GYN cases
- Operate within a high-volume, Level I Trauma Center main operating room environment with 21 OR suites
- Float within scope to support facility needs across like units as required
- Participate in rotating on-call shifts, weekends, and holiday coverage as assigned
- Document and chart using EPIC electronic health record system
- Adhere to all facility protocols, emergency response requirements, and compliance standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
- Active NBSTSA certification (NCCT not accepted)
- Current BLS certification
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Radiation badge required (must be provided by agency)
- Ability to work rotating weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Neuro cases including spines and craniotomies
- Experience with ENT flap procedures
- Proficiency with Robotic surgery, specifically da Vinci Xi platform
- Familiarity with Transplant and Procurement cases
