Key Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient nursing support for abdominal transplant services, including liver, kidney, and pancreas transplant patients across pre-transplant, waitlist, and post-transplant phases
- Perform desk-based coordination and documentation using EMR systems including Meditech, TransChart, and PatientKeeper
- Conduct clinic days as needed, including rooming and assessing patients
- Participate in WebEx meetings as required
- Maintain a caring and compassionate demeanor while addressing complex patient psychosocial needs
- Demonstrate flexibility in patient assignments across the transplant continuum
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS certification
- Proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to navigate EMR platforms (Meditech, TransChart, and/or PatientKeeper preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Willingness to engage in a primarily desk-based outpatient environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Two or more years of transplant nursing experience
- Experience working with the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS)
- Organ Procurement Organization (OPO) experience
