Contract | Days (5x8 Hours, 7:00–16:00) | Onsite | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within a rehabilitation unit, managing an average daily census of approximately 8 patients across a 14-bed unit
• Float as needed to medical-surgical and orthopedic units within the facility or to nearby affiliate facilities
• Respond to on-call requirements based on patient census needs
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records system
• Adhere to facility protocols, compliance requirements, and unit-specific standards of care
• Be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year

Required Qualifications

• Valid, active California RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Willingness and ability to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify under standard traveler guidelines
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in rehabilitation, medical-surgical, or orthopedic nursing settings
• Previous travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are also encouraged to apply
• Familiarity with high-compliance travel assignment requirements and documentation processes
