Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room and arrange necessary equipment prior to surgical procedures
- Serve as circulator and provide direct patient care in a 1:1 ratio during surgical cases
- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists throughout a variety of surgical procedures including orthopedic, neurological, and robotic surgeries
- Inspect, maintain, decontaminate, and repair surgical equipment while maintaining accurate inventory records
- Perform pre- and post-surgical patient care including transporting patients and applying dressings
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech documentation system
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of current experience in an acute hospital Operating Room setting (surgical center experience does not qualify)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong experience in orthopedic, neurological, and robotic surgical procedures
- Willingness to float to general OR as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Hands-on experience with Robotics/Da Vinci systems, including scrubbing
- Previous travel nursing experience with ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment
- Ability to function independently and integrate efficiently into an established OR team
