Contract | Nights | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (18:45–07:15) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage high-acuity patients including trauma, pediatric, cardiac arrest, stroke, and STEMI cases
• Assist with or monitor insertion of central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, and intubations
• Participate in code blue team response and post-cardiac arrest hypothermia protocols
• Care for mental health, sexual assault, and transfer patients as needed
• Float within service line, including between emergency and inpatient floors, as facility needs require

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Active, unencumbered RN license in IL (license in hand required at time of submittal); MO license or compact licensure also accepted per applicable rules
• Current ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications required (RQI cards not accepted)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Ability to work every other weekend
• Candidates must reside beyond a 75-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred
• Experience in a Magnet-designated acute care hospital
