Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized patient care within the operating room environment, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Obtain and document initial assessments, establish care priorities based on patient needs and surgical requirements.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, modify them as necessary based on patient response and evaluations.
• Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient education, discharge planning, and coordination.
• Perform point-of-care testing procedures as needed, documenting interventions promptly and accurately.
• Collaborate effectively with surgical teams, staff, and physicians to ensure smooth operations and patient safety.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of New Mexico or a valid Compact state license
• BLS certification from AHA
• ACLS certification from AHA

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of operating room nursing experience
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
