Key Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic imaging procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients in clinic and/or hospital settings as directed by a licensed provider and under general supervision of a Radiologist.
- Ensure correct patient identity using two patient identifiers; explain procedures to patients and/or family members to alleviate apprehension and gain cooperation.
- Review and assess image technical quality prior to releasing patients; ensure accurate and complete documentation within standardized time frames.
- Accurately enter diagnosis codes into EMR, process outpatient orders, and obtain signed ABNs when necessary.
- Maintain safe and up-to-date working knowledge of all imaging equipment; adhere to radiation safety practices and standard precautions.
- Perform routine daily, weekly, and monthly equipment cleaning and maintenance; monitor and maintain appropriate department inventory levels.
Required Qualifications
- Current ARRT (R) certification required.
- Current IEMA Radiography licensure required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate EMR programs.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and complete work in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiography, Mammography, CT scanning, and operative C-arm procedures preferred.
- Demonstrated flexibility in work schedules and ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
