Contract | Night Shift (18:45–07:15) | 36 or 48 hours per week accepted | 13–26 week contracts accepted | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Neurology unit with a focus on general medicine and neurological diagnoses, maintaining a 1:6 patient ratio
• Utilize unit systems including Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR for medication administration, documentation, and communication
• Apply a teamwork-based approach to patient care with a strong emphasis on patient safety
• Float to other units within or near the facility as needed, with travelers floating first
• Fulfill weekend shift requirements, averaging every other weekend (5–6 weekend shifts per contract period)
• Be prepared to serve on a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and report to work during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters as required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state (pending licensure acceptable at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Willingness to float within and near the facility per unit requirements
• Ability to work 2 of 3 major holidays per contract

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH Stroke Scale certification or neurological nursing experience
• Experience in or willingness to learn the charge nurse role
• Prior travel nursing experience (not required but a plus)
